In order to publish a web site on the Internet it has to be placed on a server or host. This is a computer, running web server software, with its associated network and connected to the Internet. Also it has to be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. For economic reasons, it is best for smaller companies or individuals to use the services of their ISP or a hosting company. These companies usually have a large number of servers housed in secure premises and connected permanently to the Internet.

In addition the server has to have the facilities to run your web site. For example dynamic content and form handling need specific software to be available at the host.

Their service is excellent and frequently features in top web host companies in surveys published by Internet Magazine.

As a result of scale, reliability of a service such as this is significantly better than that offered by medium to large organisations (such as Councils or Colleges) runnning their own web servers, housed within general computing suites, or as a part of their internal computing systems. This is especially true where out of hours in-house breaks in service is the accepted norm, preventing 24/7 availability.

Should reliability ever fall below par, HazelGold would rapidly seek an alternative service and move web sites along with their domain names.
